POLISH FANS are always with BON JOVI!
It is hard to describe how we feel sometimes and what we go through everyday; to express how much we care. It is hard to find words which would not sound ordinary.
It is undeniable that we love, respect and appreciate your music, and that it fills our lives. How to find appropriate words that could convince you how much we want something that seems unreachable for the last 20 years? Something that the young and older fans have been waiting for - for a quarter of a century. And that is:
BON JOVI'S CONCERT IN POLAND!!!
We realize that we are not the only country which makes a request like that. Fans from Brazil and Australia ask for it.., Spain and Canada beg you to play for them once again, they ask for something that is still an unfulfilled dream for every Polish fan.
We are not any different from your fans from America or Germany. We feel the same way and we experience it, we wait for your every new album with the same excitement. We celebrate every important moment of your career. Through all these years we all have been waiting patiently to see Poland on the list of the countries where you are going to play a concert. So many famous bands played for the Polish audience, among others:
Rolling Stones, Bob Geldof, Scorpions (a few times), Iron Maiden (a few times), Metallica (a few times), Pearl Jam (a few times), Alice Cooper, Whitesnake, U2, Guns n' Roses.
And every time those were amazing events, which brought many people from other countries like:
Czech, Slovakia and Russia.
So we ask: WHY NOT BON JOVI? How long will Polish fans be going hundreds or sometimes thousands of miles to other countries to have a chance to see your live performance just that one time.
During your short and so far the only visit to Poland in 2001 (that only few of us knew about) Jon left us with words that gave us hope and poured happiness in our hearts:
'SEE YOU IN JUNE IN A BIG CONCERT'
However, those words never came true and Polish fans keep on waiting.
We are not passive. For many years we have been running a Polish Bon Jovi fanclub, which is authorized by UNIVERSAL MUSIC POLAND. Members of this fanclub organize themselves once again to draw your attention to Poland. We are runnig the Bon Jovi radio on the Web. Doing so, we give an opportunity to BJ's fans all over the world to constantly listen to your songs and concerts.
We submitted some petitions to Concert Agencies, we send hundreds of letters to magazines and music TV stations. We do our best, everything that could help us bring you over here. We created a special website www.destinationpoland.org where we put all current information about our undertaking; people sign petitions in there with hope that we will achieve our goal.
Some people think it is in vain, but you taught us to keep the faith, and through these 20 years we still believe, as you sing:
'GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT'
We are asking for one concert, for one amazing night which would leave us with unforgettable memories. (Let's not worry about money, or the number of sold tickets). The most important thing is that you can bring happiness to so many hearts and give us amazing emotions that you are giving to the fans all over the world.
Soon your next album is going to come out and probably the next world tour.
We hope this time you will not forget about your fans from Eastern Europe!
We beg and wait for a day you will be able to make our dream come true, and you will show to everyone in Poland how to play rock'n'roll!
